Rebel Wilson Countersues ‘The Deb’ Producers, Accuses Them of Theft, Bullying, and Sexual Misconduct

Rebel Wilson files a countersuit against The Deb producers, accusing them of sexual misconduct, embezzlement, and retaliation after her initial accusations led to a defamation lawsuit.

BollywoodFever: Rebel Wilson has countersued The Deb producers Amanda Ghost, Cameron Gregor, and Vince Holden, alleging a disturbing pattern of theft, bullying, and sexual misconduct. This cross-complaint comes months after the trio sued Wilson for defamation in July, following her public accusations of sexual harassment and embezzlement in an Instagram video.

In her new legal filing, Wilson claims that Ghost sexually harassed the film’s lead actress, Charlotte MacInnes, including forcing her to live in Ghost’s Bondi Beach penthouse, where inappropriate behavior occurred. Ghost allegedly made overtly sexual remarks to MacInnes and was witnessed engaging in other inappropriate acts on set.

Additionally, Wilson’s complaint accuses the producers of inflating the film’s budget to embezzle AU $900,000, which they allegedly split among themselves. When Wilson reported these actions to executive producer Danny Cohen, her concerns were reportedly ignored.

The countersuit also details how the producers retaliated against Wilson, allegedly threatening to terminate the project and fire the cast and crew unless she withdrew her sexual misconduct claims. Due to ongoing threats, Wilson hired personal security to complete filming.

Wilson’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, released a statement condemning the producers for filing their initial lawsuit, hinting that more revelations about their misconduct are forthcoming. “This is just the tip of the iceberg,” Freedman said, suggesting that other witnesses have come forward with similar complaints about Amanda Ghost.
