Intensified Investigation into Shooting at Salman Khan’s Residence Links to Notorious Criminal Network
The probe into the shooting incident at Bollywood star Salman Khan‘s residence is escalating, with the crime branch intensifying their efforts by sending four teams to New Delhi, Bihar, Gujarat, and Rajasthan to follow up on leads and collect more evidence. The incident, which initially involved motorcycle riders shooting at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, has already led to two arrests. The investigation has now linked the attack to Anmol Bishnoi, brother of the infamous criminal Lawrence Bishnoi.
Sources indicate that Anmol Bishnoi had communicated with two individuals, Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, through internet calls, allegedly promising them a significant reward of Rs 1 lakh in advance and an additional Rs 3 lakhs upon completing their mission. The suspects’ use of their phones to maintain contact with Bishnoi has drawn particular attention from law enforcement, who are now also seeking to identify the suppliers of the weapon used in the attack.
A police officer told PTI that the suspects had scouted Salman Khan’s Panvel farmhouse, with the intent primarily to intimidate rather than harm him. Statements from both families have been recorded in Bihar, and about seven individuals from Haryana and other states have been summoned for questioning, which continues.
Anmol Bishnoi, who is said to be in Canada, had earlier taken to Facebook to claim responsibility for the shooting outside Salman Khan’s home. Meanwhile, suspects Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta initially fled Mumbai for Bhuj following the incident. Despite their attempts to avoid capture by frequently changing SIM cards, their consistent communication patterns were tracked through technical surveillance, leading to their arrest on Sunday.
As the investigation moves forward, authorities are determined to uncover the motives and relationships involved in the attack, ensuring that justice is served for all parties involved.
