After blasting Once Human’s seasonal reset system, Asmongold returns for Season 2, lured by a sponsorship. Despite mixed feelings, he notes the game’s strong player base.
BollywoodFever: Asmongold has made his return to Once Human for Season 2 after previously quitting the game, criticizing its seasonal reset system.
In July, Asmongold expressed frustration with the game’s six-week seasonal structure, where characters reset to level 1 at the end of each season.
He labeled the system as “tedious bullsh*t,” citing concerns that developers wouldn’t be able to release substantial new content every six weeks.
Despite walking away from the game after beta testing for six months, Asmongold is back, thanks to a sponsorship from the game’s developer, Summit1g.
In a recent video, he played through a one-and-a-half-hour session of Season 2, appearing to enjoy the new content—though with some reservations. “They have a new event, and they sponsored me to play it,” he said.
However, Asmongold voiced disappointment over the lack of social interaction, saying, “I just want to see one other player,” highlighting the importance of community engagement in his gaming experience.
Despite his initial skepticism, he acknowledged the game’s strong player base, noting that Once Human has maintained a spot in Steam’s top 10 most-played games since its release.
Though the game’s concurrent player count has recently dropped below 100,000, Summit1g’s decision to sponsor Asmongold was a bold attempt to rekindle interest and bring back skeptical players.
