The Detroit Lions rule out center Frank Ragnow due to a pectoral injury ahead of their Week 4 matchup against the Seahawks. Tight end Sam LaPorta is active despite an ankle injury.
BollywoodFever: The Detroit Lions have released their final injury report ahead of their Week 4 Monday night matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, with key updates on center Frank Ragnow and rookie tight end Sam LaPorta.
Frank Ragnow Out, Ennis Rakestraw Jr. Questionable
The Lions officially ruled out center Frank Ragnow, who is dealing with a pectoral injury. Head coach Dan Campbell had already hinted that Ragnow would miss this game, and the veteran center has now been officially sidelined for Week 4.
Cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. is listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury he sustained during practice. Rakestraw missed last week’s game as a healthy scratch and now faces another potential absence.
Sam LaPorta Will Play
Despite suffering an ankle injury in last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, tight end Sam LaPorta is set to be active on Monday night. LaPorta briefly returned to the field in the second half of the Cardinals game but was forced to exit again. While his effectiveness remains uncertain, Campbell confirmed LaPorta’s availability for the Seahawks game.
Other Key Injury Updates
Safety Ifeatu Melifonwu has been placed on injured reserve as he continues to recover from an ankle injury. While Campbell noted that Melifonwu is making progress, he is not yet ready to return to action.
Several other Lions players have been cleared to play without injury designations, including:
- OT Dan Skipper (ribs)
- DT Alim McNeill (shoulder)
- LB Alex Anzalone (concussion)
- S Brian Branch (concussion)
- DL Levi Onwuzurike (knee)
Seahawks Injury Report
For the Seahawks, defensive tackle Leonard Williams, edge rusher Boye Mafe, defensive tackle Byron Murphy, and edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu have all been ruled out. Linebacker Jerome Baker is listed as questionable.
The Lions and Seahawks will kick off Monday night at 7:20 p.m. CT at Ford Field.
